Mission Statement:

The HHS Counseling department provides a comprehensive, developmental, data-driven counseling program that encourages students to become life-long learners, problem solvers, and productive citizens. We will collaborate with community members, parents, and staff to promote our program which focuses on academic, college and career readiness, and personal/social development in every student. HHS school counselors stive to empower all students to reach their highest potential by fostering a positive, supportive, and culturally sensitive program while ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. HHS school counselors will adhere to the ASCA Ethical Standards in order to maintain integrity and leadership.

Thank you for visiting our page.  The majority of the resources for seniors are on their Schoology account under the course called Colony- Counselor's Corner.  If you are a parent and would like access to this page please email deanna.wood@dcsms.org.  Below is the Senior Welcome letter and an all-in-one senior packet.  Mrs. Wood speaks to the Seniors in their English classes several times a semester and works with them on college and career exploration.  The all-in-one packet gives information on a variety of topics covered during throughout the year.
